Expert Cardiac Monitoring Services
Real-Time Mobile Cardiac Telemetry (MCT)
Real-time cardiac telemetry testing is almost effortless to perform and is an invaluable diagnostic tool used to manage and diagnose cardiac arrhythmias.
Our service is much easier to use than other mobile cardiac monitoring systems/services and provides maximum reimbursements to your office. Using the most advanced technology available, our monitors, unlike other monitor units, transmit data via all the available protocols (2G, 3G and 4G) to ensure the best possible cellular connectivity even in rural areas. Your practice will attach three electrodes to a patient and send the patient home for 24 hours to 30 days. Specialized Medical will monitor the patient 24 hours a day, as the patient wears a monitor, continuing with normal activities. As arrhythmias occur, the data is automatically transmitted to our monitoring facility for analysis. Our facility identifies and responds as necessary by sending information to your practice's fax, email or phone. Upon the test's conclusion, a detailed report is generated. No uploading or downloading of raw test data is needed. You receive the data as it occurs, making it easy to review the data on simple EKG strips, so you can decide when to end each test.
24 to 48-Hour Cardiac Holter Monitoring Service
Holter Monitoring is a simple diagnostic tool to manage and diagnose cardiac abnormalities over a 24 to 48 hour period; it is recommended as the initial diagnostic tool for patients with symptoms of heart disease. Your practice affixes electrodes to patients, sending them home for 24 - 48 hours. At the conclusion of the test, you upload the raw data to our HIPAA-compliant server and then we send you an email directing you to an extremely thorough color Cardiac Holter report in .pdf file format, plus reimbursement instructions including all the professional CPT codes your office will bill to the patient's insurance. You can save all or parts of patients' reports in your EHR/EMR system.
30-Day Cardiac Event Monitoring
Cardiac event monitoring is easy to perform, and is a trusted method for identifying and managing cardiac abnormalities within a 30-day framework. The procedure is recommended for patients with persistent symptoms that were not detected with a Cardiac Holter test. Your practice connects electrodes to patients, letting them go home until a monitor indicates that testing is complete. The typical test duration is 2 - 30 days. If required at any time during the test, cardiac arrhythmias may be telephonically transmitted from the patient's home to Specialized Medical via a landline. At the conclusion of each test, we send your practice an email directing you to a comprehensive cardiac event report in PDF format. Also included are reimbursement instructions with all required CPT insurance billing codes. You can save patients' reports -- in part or in whole -- in your practice's EHR/EMR system.
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring measures blood pressure at regular intervals over a 24-hour time period. Recommended to reduce the white-coat hypertension effect, in which blood pressure appears elevated due to patients' nervousness in clinical settings, ABPM produces reliable results. Most hypertension organizations recommend out-of-office measurements as an adjunct to office measurements. Your practice attaches a blood pressure cuff to the patient who then goes home for 24 hours. When the test concludes, you receive an email directing you to a full-color, detailed ambulatory blood pressure report in PDF format, plus reimbursement instructions including; all CPT codes needed to bill the patient's insurance. In your practice's EHR/EMR system, you can save any or all parts of patients' reports.
